EPA Workers Receive Emails Warning their Employment could Be Terminated
More than 1,100 staff members at the Environmental Protection Agency received notification this week that they were deemed to be on probationary status and warning they could be fired immediately, according to an e-mail acquired by CNN.
Probationary workers getting the email have been operating at the firm for employment less than a year. The emails began to head out late on Wednesday afternoon, according to an EPA union official.
The same message will be sent to other agency labor forces, a White House official said. Across the US government, the newest data programs there are more than 220,000 employees on probation.
